The phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) pathway represents the most hyperactivated oncogenic pathway in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), a highly aggressive tumor subtype encompassing ∼15% of breast cancers and which possesses no targeted therapeutics.
