Silencing genes in insects by introducing double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) in the diet holds promise as a new pest management method. It has been demonstrated that nanoparticles (NPs) can potentiate dsRNA silencing effects by promoting cellular internalization and protecting dsRNA against early degradation.
