Skeletal muscle fibres support store-operated Ca-entry (SOCE) across the t-tubular membrane upon exhaustive depletion of Ca from the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR). Recently we demonstrated the presence of a novel mode of SOCE activated under conditions of maintained [Ca].
